Sierpinski-like carpets

Abstract: 

The Sierpinski carpet was developed as a two-dimension extension of the Cantor set. Here we discuss the artistic expression of such carpets along with the development of more visually pleasing Sierpi´nski-like carpets created by using the basins of attraction of iterative methods for the solution of certain nonlinear equations.
